The Pride's use of Castro Valley High School for the first portion of the season has been really great for the community of Castro Valley. The support has been great and I hope it continues and grows at CSUEB.
The renovations at Pioneer Stadium at CSUEB have been completed and will be unveiled at this year's commencment exercises. Turf grass covered the field prior to the renovations that included the installation of artificial turf. I can understand the benefits of an articicial surface for a university field (huge maintenance cost benefits), but I definitely prefer a natural turf field for the players. CSUEB is a great location in Hayward and I hope that the Pride will continue their winning ways in their new home.
